What Hypnotherapy Can Help With – A Real Life Story

Hypnosis is a scientifically recognized altered state of awareness characterized by focused attention, reduced peripheral awareness, and increased responsiveness to suggestion. It is not mind control, loss of consciousness, or supernatural manipulation. In clinical and performance settings, hypnosis is used to facilitate therapeutic change—such as pain management, habit change, emotional regulation, and anxiety reduction—by accessing mental patterns that are less accessible during ordinary waking consciousness.

A useful metaphor for understanding the mind is an iceberg: the visible tip (roughly 5–10%) represents conscious awareness—deliberate, analytical thinking—while the vast submerged mass (90–95%) represents automatic, habitual processes often referred to as the “subconscious.” Hypnosis works by calming the analytical, critical mind and engaging these deeper automatic patterns that drive the majority of our behavior, emotions, and decisions.

It is important to note that modern psychology does not universally agree on the existence of a literal, separate “subconscious mind.” Instead, many researchers view it as a functional metaphor describing complex cognitive and emotional processes operating outside conscious awareness rather than a distinct second mind.

Historically, the CIA invested significant resources into hypnosis research during the Cold War—most notably through Project ARTICHOKE and its successor, Project MKUltra. These programs explored interrogation techniques, suggestibility, memory, and behavioral influence, highlighting institutional interest in the power of altered states of consciousness and focused attention.

Ivaylo’s Success Story after Hypnotherapy

Testimonial Ivaylo Hypnosis session

His outcome was clearing the nice guy syndrome since rewriting the story he had about how his father raised and treated him. His results were impressive. Don’t believe my words, ask him himself. He proudly mentioned the clear before and after transformation in his community and several times during live ceremonies. We are very good friends. That’s also a reason why he allowed me this platform to present myself

Achieved outcomes:
• Ivaylo described the experience as “life changing,” noting a clear day/night difference between his life before and after the hypnosis session.
• A persistent fear around drinking additional cups of ayahuasca was resolved.
• Ivaylo experienced increased softness, forgiveness, and a healthier way of relating to his father.

Now you may wonder: Can I be hypnotized?

Yes—everyone can be hypnotized. We naturally enter and exit altered states of awareness multiple times throughout the day.

For example: you drive on the highway, lost in thought, and suddenly arrive at your destination with little memory of the journey. Time seems to disappear. Or just before falling asleep, when the brain shifts into the theta brainwave state. These are everyday examples of spontaneous hypnotic states. Hypnosis simply guides this natural process intentionally and purposefully.

Famous people who experienced Hypnosis

Across sports, science, and culture, many well-known figures have used hypnosis or hypnosis-like techniques for performance, preparation, or personal change. This includes elite athletes such as Andre Agassi and Tiger Woods, as well as influential thinkers like Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung during early explorations of unconscious processes.

Videos of celebrities who have used hypnosis:

Mike Tyson – Hypnosis is You controlling You.

Tiger Woods

Andrew Huberman – Hypnosis is a meditation designed to change you in a specific way

Jake Paul – Jake Paul paid $1M to get hypnotized.

Joe Rogan – speaking about his experience of hypnosis

In summary, hypnosis is a natural, collaborative mental state that—when guided responsibly—can accelerate insight, emotional resolution, and behavioral change. It is not a tool for involuntary control or mystical power.

Frequently Asked Questions About Hypnosis

1. What is hypnosis and how does it work?

Hypnosis is a natural altered state of focused attention where the mind becomes more receptive to suggestion. It works by calming the analytical, critical thinking part of the mind and engaging deeper automatic patterns that influence behavior, emotions, and habits. In this state, positive suggestions and reframing can create faster and more lasting change.

2. Can everyone be hypnotized?

Yes. Hypnosis is a natural mental state that everyone enters daily—such as when driving on autopilot or drifting off to sleep. However, the depth of hypnosis varies from person to person depending on focus, openness, and willingness to participate in the process.

3. Is hypnosis mind control?

No. Hypnosis is not mind control. You cannot be forced to act against your values, morals, or will. Hypnosis is a collaborative process where you remain aware and in control the entire time.

4. Is hypnosis scientifically proven and safe?

Yes. Hypnosis is recognized in psychology and neuroscience as a measurable state of focused attention and increased suggestibility. It has been studied for pain management, anxiety reduction, habit change, and emotional regulation. When guided by a trained professional, hypnosis is considered safe and non-invasive.

5. Did the CIA really research hypnosis?

Yes. During the Cold War, the CIA conducted research into hypnosis and behavioral influence through programs such as Project MKUltra and Project ARTICHOKE. These programs explored suggestibility, memory, and interrogation techniques. While much misinformation exists, their research shows institutional interest in altered states of consciousness.
