The difference between your ayahuasca experience becoming a distant memory and turning into concrete change in your life comes down to one thing:
Integration.
Integration refers to everything that you do in your everyday life that supports you in integrating the teachings of the medicine into your life for the long run.
Too often do we leave a ceremony with clarity around what we need to change, yet seem to fall back into the same situations, circles, patterns and habits. As our elder Taita Giovanni always likes to remind us – the medicine will do 50% of the work. We need to put in the other 50%.
So, what does this look like in practice? While integration will look different for every person, and vary depending on what kinds of changes you want to make, there are some key practices that can help you stay on track and build the life you envision for yourself.
In these two videos, Ivaylo dives into what exactly he means when he talks about integration, and his top five practices to help you integrate your ayahuasca ceremony. Enjoy!
In this video, Ivaylo explains what he means when he talks about integration and why it’s such an important part of your process with ayahuasca. He talks about the importance of living from your heart and your intuition during the integration process, and how this path can help us stay centered and conscious during difficult moments.
In this final video in the series, Ivaylo gives us his top five tips to help you integrate your ayahuasca experience:
- Don’t rush to tell others about your experience
- Journal
- Spend time in nature
- Find support
- Gather in community
